Early fascination with technology…

Back in the day, I made all my own Halloween costumes, usually with the help of my father, sometimes my brother, and later on, my stepmother.

Halloween (1966?) was was my first foray into technology — as a robot, maybe inspired by Robbie the Robot of Lost In Space — lovingly constructed out of tin (aluminum?) foil and a cardboard box.

No doubt it was the shiniest costume in the neighborhood on that All Hallow’s Eve…

Unsure of the photographer, whose shadow can be seen falling on my legs, feet, and the ground in front of my robotic self…most likely my dad, or brother…
